THE GROWER
Franz Strohmeier has made wine in Styria since 1996, working from Lestein with an approach that gives time, patience and close attention to the individuality of the grapes. His natural methods in both vineyard and cellar have made him a distinctive voice in the region’s wine scene.
Alongside his sparkling wines, the “Trauben, Liebe & Zeit” range explores complex, expressive wines made without added sulphites. Its name — grapes, love and time — reflects the priorities of the work. Rather than rushing development, Franz allows each wine space to evolve, with aroma, texture and the experience of tasting at the centre.
