THE GROWER

SUNAWI, short for Super Natural Wine, began with four friends and a shared wish to make artisanal natural wines on Lake Garda. Michele Bontempi, Stefano Pietta, Giuseppe Vigevani and Tung Wei Hsiao brought different experiences to the project, finding common ground through tastings, research and conversations.

Based in Valtènesi, their work follows the conviction that each vineyard and harvest should retain its own voice. The changing character of the grapes, the health of the vines and the conditions of each year are part of that expression. SUNAWI connects friendship and experimentation with a close attention to this particular corner of the Garda landscape.
