Tenuta Fornace

THE GROWER

Tenuta Fornace grows from Andrea Rossi’s vision and a family history of winegrowing in the Oltrepò Pavese dating back to the early nineteenth century. The winery is in Rovescala, where the connection between the people, vineyards and surrounding countryside remains central to the project.

The work starts by finding the right place for each grape variety. Vineyard management follows organic and biodynamic principles, with interventions kept to a minimum and attention to natural balance. Fermentation and long ageing continue that patient approach in the cellar. Each wine is intended to tell the story of its soil and of the people who tend the vines and accompany its development.
