After a successful football career Nevio Scala decided to dedicate himself to his passion: agriculture. He restored his native territory by bringing back the biodiversity that once used to surround his land; the grapes that he and his family actually grow are part of a bigger natural drawing, including also cereals, olive trees and groves. The winery is organic certified and it is part of the Vinnatur association; all the wines are made in a natural way, without the use of any additive or invasive interventions that could limit the truthful expression of the final result. The sustainable commitment of the family is a complete circle that embraces organic, social and economic aspects since the farming reality is conceived as a complex organism in complete balance with what it really represents: cosmic equilibrium.
Vino bianco Blanko BIO
The geographical area is Lozzo Atesino (PD), Veneto. The 6/7 years old vineyard is 70% Garganega, 20% Istrian malvasia and 10% Muscat grapes. The soil is volcanic (alluvial origin). After hand harvest, the grapes were softly pressed at 0.6 bars. Fermentation started spontaneously, no selected yeasts were added. No filtration nor clarification was made. After resting in concrete tanks, our blend was bottled in January 2022. A small quantity od sulphites was added at bottling. The production is about 40000 bottles/year.
IGT Veneto Garganega frizzante BIO 2021
The geographical area is Lozzo Atesino (PD), Veneto. The 6/7 years old vineyard is 100% Garganega grapes. The soil is volcanic (alluvial origin). After hand-harvest, grapes are destemmed and gently pressed (max. 0,8 bar). Fermentation is spontaneously activated by indigenous yeasts only and it takes place into inert steel vessels. The maturation lasts 6 months, it takes place into inert steels vessels and the wine is kept in contact with its own lees. The wine is then bottled and filled up with dried Garganega grape juice in order to start the second fermentation process directly in the bottle. Bottling is done without any sulfite addition. The production is about 40000 bottles/year.
